Threemilestone Dental Practice has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist. Dental experience not necessary, but desirable. We are a friendly, modern and expanding practice looking for a bubbly and organised, team player to join our wonderful team.

Skills and Experience of a Dental Receptionist:



Reception experience, ideally within a dental or healthcare setting, although this is not essential. All training will be given to the right candidate. Motivated, organised and a good communicator who thrives upon maintaining good standards. Great at offering a warm and welcoming environment to patients and visitors. Can work effectively in a team and individually. A drive to constantly deliver and improve the patient journey in line with the company's visions and values The ability to be flexible in your duties and perform other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice as required

Key Responsibilities of a Dental Receptionist:



Providing a high level of customer-focused service on telephone and in person in a compassionate and professional manner. Attending and participating in practice meetings. Welcoming the patients and visitors to the practice. Promptly deal with patient enquiries to a high level according to practice policies and protocols to ensure maximum utilisation of new and regular patient appointments. Reviewing the diary to follow-up patients who cancel or miss an appointment and sending out appropriate correspondence. Confident using a computer, full training will be given on our dental software. Booking, cancelling and amending appointments in person and on the telephone. Assessing and prioritising emergency appointments, full training will be given on triaging patients. Ensuring patient records and personal data are processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act, maintaining confidentiality. Completing administration tasks as directed by the practice manager, including maintaining and overseeing the patient diary to ensure the smooth running of the appointments. Ensuring the reception and public areas are clean, tidy, and well presented at all times to create a warm and welcoming environment. Managing immediate adherence to appointment times, and informing patients of any delay. Liaising with Specialist Centres and Hospital settings regarding patient referrals. Taking payments from patients, handling cash and using the card machine. Carry out general administration duties such as filing, scanning and updating medical histories on patient records, shredding and making telephone calls. Maintain mandatory training in Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, CPR, Data Protection and Manual Handling.
