We are looking for a receptionist with outstanding customer service, someone who is proactive and dynamic; to add to our staff of winners. We are a prestigious award winning private specialist dental practice in St Albans. Dental experience is desirable and would be a huge advantage for this role however not essential and full training will be provided.
If you are organised, motivated and enthusiastic you could be that person. Previous experience in customer service, marketing or sales would be advantageous. Proven computer skills are essential.

This position is for 5 days per week 8.30 - 18.00 (plus 1 allocated day a week you would need to be available to work later if required). The position will involve working 1/2 Saturdays a month depending on the practice and patient's needs. Our location has free parking, bus routes and train service.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The dental receptionist is the first and main contact point for patients and visitors to our center and must be well presented. The successful candidate must be professional, friendly and polite. As part of the dental team the receptionist's role is to assist in the smooth and efficient running of the practice, to adhere to practice protocol at all times, in line with company polices, goals and values. It can be fast paced and requires multitasking skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Greet and care for all patients and visitors to the practice in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
Deal with all enquires, either in person, email or on the telephone in a polite and professional manner.
Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection.
Maintain the record systems of the practice, ensuring patients receive all necessary paper work and all forms are signed and dated correctly and information is up to date.
Find patient records for each dentist/hygienist/therapist
Deal with incoming patient referrals and book appropriate appointments for patients in absence of patient care advisor.
Make courtesy calls
Send out appointments and reminders to patients.
Carry out routine house-keeping procedures
Ensure the practice is always kept in an appropriate condition.
Promote a professional image of the company at all times and be knowledgeable about the services the practice provides.
Inform the practice manager about patient comments and complaints
Ensure all monies are taken for treatment.
Coordinate finance applications
Manage the retail sales of the practice
Identify own training and development needs (to be discussed within regular reviews)
Draft letters and reports in accordance with the instructions of dentists at the practice
Ensure that the practice diary is run effectively.
Assist with the supervision of any trainee receptionists.
Deal with the cleaning company when appropriate.
Carry out administrative duties to ensure effective running of the Practice
Be aware of all practice policies and procedures to ensure CQC compliance.
Be fully conversant with all emergency and evacuation procedures.
Perform such other tasks as are reasonably requested by the Practice Management/Directors
You must be able to provide references on request, one of them from your last employer. A DBS check will be carried out.
