Dental Nurse / Receptionist Vacancy: Join Our Growing Practice
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for a dual Receptionist and Dental Nurse role, due to the practice expanding. The successful candidate will primarily manage our busy reception area but will also provide occasional cover in the dental surgery.
This is a permanent part time position working 3-4 days per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a GDC-registered Dental Nurse with strong administrative and customer service skills to join our friendly, professional, and forward-thinking team.
Key responsibilities
Reception duties (main role)
Manage the reception area, greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Answer and manage telephone, email, and in-person inquiries.
Book, amend, and cancel appointments efficiently and accurately.
Update and maintain patient records on our dental software system (experience with SOE / Dentally or Carestack advantages but not essential as full training will be provided).
Handle administrative tasks such as form filling, referrals, billing, and processing payments.
Dental nursing duties (occasional cover)
Provide chair-side assistance to our dentists and hygienists as needed.
Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, ensuring clinical areas are clean and compliant with cross-infection control standards.
Sterilise instruments and monitor stock levels of dental materials.
Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring their comfort and safety.
What we're looking for
A qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse is essential for this position.
Proven experience in a dental receptionist or administrative role.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a calm and empathetic approach.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with dental software systems and general IT preferred but training will be provided.
A dedicated team player with a proactive approach and a flexible attitude.
