The Role



Position:

Dental Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator

Hours:

Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Pay:

From 13 per hour (negotiable depending on experience).

As our Patient Care Coordinator, you'll be the welcoming face and reassuring voice of AK Dental Care--the first person patients meet, whether in person or on the phone. Your role will be key to shaping their experience and ensuring every patient journey runs smoothly.

What You'll Do



Give every patient and referring dentist a warm, professional experience. Manage our referral patients and their journey. Answer enquiries and explain our services clearly and confidently. Support nervous patients with empathy and care. Manage multiple appointment diaries with accuracy and organisation. Answer and make phone calls, emails, and letters. Keep patient records, spreadsheets, and documents up to date. General administrational tasks Work closely with the team to keep the patient journey seamless.

About You



Friendly, approachable, and able to put patients at ease. Team player. Experience in a reception role. Organised, dependable, and confident managing multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, with strong grammar and attention to detail. Comfortable with technology (Microsoft Office, phone systems, databases). Dental knowledge is helpful, but we'll support training for the right person. Professional, empathetic, and positive--with a sense of humour and a team spirit.
