Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Conduct oral health assessments, including medical history reviews and clinical exams. Diagnose and treat dental conditions within the defined scope of practice, including: Filling cavities Placing temporary crowns Performing simple extractions of primary teeth Pulp treatments on primary teeth Periodontal maintenance treatments Take and interpret dental radiographs. Provide preventive services such as sealants, fluoride applications, and oral hygiene instruction. Create individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising dentists. Educate patients and families on oral health, disease prevention, and treatment options. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records. Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Participate in community outreach, school programs, and oral health promotion initiatives as needed. Collaborate with the dental team to support smooth clinic operations and enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Dental Therapy from an accredited institution. Valid certification/licensure as a Dental Therapist in [Insert region/country]. Current CPR/BLS certification. Experience with pediatric and community dental care preferred. Strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and clinical safety standards.
