We are excited to be opening our new state of the art mixed NHS and Private dental practice near Glasgow's Westend and are now ready to take on Dental Hygiene/Therapists to our growing team. Situated conveniently in the Tesco Extra store we have ample parking available for staff and patients. Our focus is to have a friendly environment for all staff and patients and make it an enjoyable place to work.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care and Private airflow and therapy prescriptions from our team of dentists.

Positions available can be Full time/Part time and due to the high footfall AM and PM positions can be considered as well as weekend staff applications. Self employed or employed hourly rate applications welcome. Will have the opportunity to grow and develop with the advanced dentistry that will also be carried out from Dental Implants, Invisalign to Smile Makeovers and Composite Bonding.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to infection control protocols Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans Evidence of Hep B vaccinations and Occupational Health clearance Membership of the PVG Scheme for both children and adults via Disclosure Scotland Proficiency in English language Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist licence or equivalent qualification Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards patients Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry standards
