We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Therapist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to patient education and preventive care.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to remove plaque and tartar from teeth.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' oral health, including medical histories and periodontal evaluations.
Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosing dental issues.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies, including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications.
Experience
A recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene is essential.
Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for newly qualified candidates.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health will be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
A proactive approach to continuing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends.
