We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and educating patients on effective hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients. Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides. Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans. Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to effectively assess and treat patients. Diagnose and treat NHS patients( mainly under 18s). Offer private treatments like Air polishing, whitening ( on chair and at home).

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist licence or equivalent qualification. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is essential. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is preferred. Familiarity with CAD systems is an advantage but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of care. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Payment for NHS patients per UDA ( 10 GBP per UDA , tbc) , private patients are at 40/60 split , lab bills are 50/50 .
