Job Description

We are looking for a part time Dentist/Orthodontic Therapist, in addition to our clinical staff, who are all highly motivated, and hard-working, to enhance our friendly team for 2 - 3 days a week, at our busy NHS/ private Orthodontic and Dental Practice based in the Old Town of Stevenage. You must be able to work efficiently and effectively. You will need to be able to get on with different personalities and be able to work calmly even when under pressure. Job Role:

Provide high quality orthodontic treatment under a dentist's prescription in accordance with the GDC's 'Scope of Practice', the practice protocols and under the reasonable direction of the principal Maintain the required professional registration, indemnity and insurance Undertake continuing professional development to meet the GDC requirements Follow all practice policies and procedures Establish, promote and maintain productive working relationships with all team members Liaise with the practice manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service conditions Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others

Requirements:

Qualified Dentist or Orthodontic Therapist Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) Proven experience working as a Dentist or Orthodontic Therapist Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilisation methods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Have excellent patient care Be well presented Have 2 up to date references

Desired:

Experience with DOIT orthodontic system is an advantage however training will be provided. Experience in a similar role however training will be provided to a Dentist to equip/further orthodontic skills Good knowledge of up to date protocols
Salary will be based on experience.

Monday: 8:05 - 13:15/14:00 - 17:00 (45-minute lunchbreak)
Tuesday: 8:05 - 13:15/14:00 - 17:00 (45-minute lunchbreak)
Wednesday: 8:05 - 13:15/14:00 - 17:00 (45-minute lunchbreak)
Thursday: 8:05 - 13:15/14:00 - 17:00 (45-minute lunchbreak)
Friday: 8:05 - 16:00 (30-minute lunchbreak)
