DentaQuest Taunton is seeking an experienced, self-employed Associate Dentist to join our fully private, modern dental practice in Taunton. This role is suited to a confident clinician with prior experience in general dentistry who is comfortable working independently in a high-quality, patient-focused environment.
The practice is fully private and equipped with state-of-the-art digital technology, offering an excellent platform for delivering ethical, comprehensive dentistry to a well-established patient base.
Duties
Carry out comprehensive dental examinations, including clinical assessments and appropriate radiographic imaging.
Diagnose oral health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans covering preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.
Perform a wide range of general dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, endodontics, and restorative treatments.
Utilise digital workflows and CAD/CAM technology where appropriate for restorations such as crowns and bridges.
Maintain clear, accurate, and compliant clinical records in line with GDC and CQC standards.
Communicate treatment options effectively, ensuring informed consent and a high standard of patient understanding.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
Work collaboratively with dental nurses, reception, and management to ensure smooth and efficient clinical sessions.
Adhere strictly to cross-infection control, health and safety, and clinical governance protocols.
Requirements
Fully qualified Dentist with current GDC registration.
Proven post-qualification experience in general dentistry (essential).
Performer number and eligibility to work in the UK.
Confidence working in a fully private practice environment.
Experience using digital systems, including dental imaging and modern practice management software.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM workflows is advantageous but not essential.
Strong clinical judgement, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to ethical dentistry, patient-centred care, and ongoing professional development.
Ability to work effectively in a self-employed associate role.
