The Governors of St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School wish to appoint a committed
Departmental Teaching Assistant
to join our dedicated Learning Support Team. Applicants should be prepared to work with pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviour and any experience in this field would be an advantage.
The role will include supporting and facilitating learning for specific learners, providing one to one support (within a subject area) to ensure that statemented pupils benefit from full access to the curriculum. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the SENCo as part of a wider support team, however the ability to work autonomously when required is essential.
The successful candidate should be supportive of the ethos and values of the school and have the ability to encourage and motivate our students. We are looking for someone with a sense of humour, who understands the importance of developing a positive culture in our organisation and has high expectations of pupils.
