About the Role



We are seeking an experienced and proactive

Deployable Operations Manager

to join our event operations team. This is a front-line leadership role, responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day site operations and playing a critical part in incident and emergency response. You will act as the key link between on-the-ground operations and the Event Control Centre, supporting both routine checks and dynamic emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities



Business as Usual (BAU)

Carry out opening checks and site egress procedures. Undertake routine patrols of the event site to ensure operational elements are running in line with plans and procedures. Monitor and report on key areas, including emergency exit routes and infrastructure concerns. Report findings and updates to the Event Control Centre (ECC). Monitor crowd movements, identify potential issues, and escalate concerns as necessary. Provide on-the-ground support at incidents, reporting back to Event Silver and/or ECC with updates, recommendations, and actions. Assume the role of

Event Bronze

when required, in line with emergency and major incident plans.
Incident & Emergency Response

Take control at the scene of an incident, ensuring public safety, cordoning off areas, and preserving evidence if necessary. Make an initial situational assessment using the M/ETHANE framework to provide structured updates and resource requirements. Work collaboratively with security, medical, stewarding, and other suppliers to establish a Forward Command Point (FCP) and coordinate the initial response. Share intelligence and risk updates with Event Silver to enable informed joint decision-making. Direct and brief operational teams (security, medics, welfare) to deliver coordinated responses aligned with Silver's priorities. Maintain regular situational updates with Event Silver and ECC. Continuously assess and communicate changing risks, working with teams to mitigate impacts. Document key decisions and actions taken throughout the incident. Contribute to Hot Debriefs and produce written debrief reports when required.

Requirements



Proven operational management experience in live events, crowd management, or emergency response. Strong knowledge of incident command structures, ideally with experience acting as Bronze in major incident plans. Calm, decisive, and clear under pressure, with excellent situational awareness. Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with safety, emergency planning, and risk management frameworks. Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and unsociable hours, in line with event schedules.
