Deployment and Support Analyst



Working hours:

Full-time, Monday - Friday

Location

: Hybrid with the requirement to travel to HT's Swindon site

The Deployment and Support Analyst will manage all aspects of solution deployment including design, configuration, testing, documentation, early life support and transition to BAU of all solutions under the governance of the Applications Team and to provide SME support for other IT departments as necessary.

Where necessary the role may be required to provide product support to the Group and/or its clients and business contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):



Work with other members of the Applications Team to architect, design, build, and implement internal and customer solutions. Ensure that technical designs, internal documentation, processes and procedures are fully documented and maintained as required Development of solutions that support the internal / customer requirements Delivery of operational reporting within the application product suite Provision of testing documentation and subsequent testing of modifications / solutions in line with Howard Tenens standards. Support the configuration and testing activities to ensure that the delivered solution meets the scope as agreed. Provision of project support and post-live support to the business as agreed with on-site support provision if necessary. Ensure seamless transition to BAU adhering to agreed processes and standards. Identify change requests for technical development that will improve the service being offered to customers and third parties. Identify and manage any application issues and provide 2nd level support to production issues relating to those applications to ensure efficient resolution. To regularly communicate project progress to project manager and senior management. To manage incidents within control of the Applications Team and escalate issues outside control and authority. In conjunction with the IT Service Manager, provide regular updates to the business on progress of incidents within the control of the Applications Team. Provide assistance to other members of the IT departments and operational teams in the resolution of issues. Test and evaluate new technology, in line with business or customer requirements Management of incidents & changes requested of external suppliers where the application is outsourced. Ensuring that any issues / problems are escalated appropriately. Ensuring that any work is performed in accordance with any agreed schedule. Accurate capture of time to support project recoveries. Provide support and guidance to Deployment & Support Lead. Covering for the Deployment & Support Lead when absent or unavailable.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:



Strong understanding of logistics Experience in BlueYonder Dispatcher WMS, Microlise/ESS TMS Understanding & experience of reporting tools such as iReports, SSRS Experience of testing tools such as Spira, HPQC, Jira Ability to learn other applications / tools to support business solutions Experience of designing and building robust, secure software solutions. Experience in implementing integrated solutions in a logistics environment preferred. Strong understanding of application integration techniques. Solid understanding of SQL Strong customer skills, able to demonstrate ability to build strong customer relationships working closely with Customers technical teams Strong communication skills, verbal and written, able to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences Ability to take a pro-active approach to tasks and duties Logical and strong problem-solving skills Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Ability to demonstrate a willingness towards personal self-development, by keeping skills set and knowledge current and appropriate for the role The ability to be flexible, adaptable, think on your feet and work on your own initiative Track and report on regular tasks executed to ensure system availability maintaining a continuous improvement roadmap. Experienced in understanding and interpreting business requirements Full driving licence and a willingness to travel to any of our UK sites.
