You will be a part of the team that is focused on Network Delivery and Capacity Management. Focusing on multiple hardware platforms across euNetworks footprint.
The position requires strong technical understanding of telecoms architecture, technical design skills and good project management skills.
You will be required to effectively manage Network delivery and optimisation initiatives and report on progress, forecasted number and actual. You will be responsible for the input of technical data in our databases, and to manage activities within project budget
What will you be doing?
Plan the deployment of active network equipment into our telecommunications network in order to provide customer services, including the extensive use of WDM and IP/MPLS technologies.
Provide exact scope of works to suppliers to implement and connect this equipment into the field.
Ensure all network deployments are recorded correctly within the euNetworks inventory databases, including stock where applicable.
Manage the purchasing of network equipment through quotations, Purchase order creation, approvals, supplier delivery, receipting and asset inventory management
Work with Project Management teams in order to timely deliver network augment and maintenance projects as well as customer services.
Liaise with Architecture, Operations, Tier 3, Product and Management to ensure the successful planning, technical and financial approvals and implementation of projects.
Working with Capacity Management and Vendor Relations to secure pre-agreed levels for equipment stock, equipment growth space and available electrical power
Initiate projects and work on requests to augment or optimise available space and power utilisation, typically within leased racks and cages in commercial data centres.
Team structure: You will receive guidance from the Team Manager Deployment Engineering. The Deployment Engineering team is part of the Network Planning & Deployment team, including Service Planning, Capacity Management, Optimisation and Inventory Management functions.
What do we want from you?
Experience in DWDM and IP/MPLS networks and installation techniques, preferably including experience with the platforms of at least one of Ciena, Infinera, Adtran and Juniper
Good written and verbal English communications skills. Proactive thinking and good analytical skills
Good understanding and experience of processes preferable in the Telecommunications industry
Ability to work in international teams across geographical boundaries and borders.
Demonstrated skills in collaboration and resilience to stress
Self - starter, independent judgment, business partner and team player
Supplier Management Skills
The ability to work with cross - functional teams, and effective communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management
