We're thrilled to share that we have an exciting opportunity for a Depot Manager to join our fantastic team at Hinckley!

This is a highly operational role where you'll lead by example, working closely with your team across all areas of the depot.

Responsibilities of Our Depot Managers:

Team Leadership/People Management

: Supervising all depot staff, providing training and support, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Handle all aspects of people management.

Health and Safety Management

: Ensuring practices are up-to-date and followed by all employees, customers, and visitors.

Fleet Management:

Ensuring legal compliance is monitored and maintained.

Sales

: Evaluating local market conditions and identifying current and potential sales opportunities. Upsell products and services.

Forecasting:

Reviewing and assessing forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans.

Budget Management

: Managing the set budget and allocating funds appropriately.

Performance Management:

Enhancing the performance of depot personnel through training, coaching, development, and motivation.

Inventory Management:

Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, ensuring timely restocking, and minimising discrepancies.

Logistics Coordination:

Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring smooth and timely operations.

Safety Compliance

: Ensuring all safety processes are followed, conducting regular safety checks, and addressing any issues promptly.

Oversee all Depot operations

: Including Warehouse, Distribution, Customer Service, Sales, and Administration -- with a hands-on presence across all areas.

Strong communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of team outputs. Demonstrates leadership by setting a positive example. Positive influence in motivating staff. Proven experience in managing a depot/site and teams. Skilled in resource planning. Capable of problem-solving and implementing solutions at the team level. Positive influence in motivating staff. Health & Safety compliance knowledge and understanding.
