Operations Manager

to come and join the

Belfast

You'll be joining our business as a key member of the Depot Management team. The

Operations Manager

is responsible for the performance of the operation whilst proactively seeking ways to improve cost, service & operational efficiency.


As the

Depot Operations Manager

you will be responsible for motivating your staff, problem solving on a day to day basis and operationally. Each Depot has challenges, but you'll have an experienced central team, senior Managers as well as peer mentorship to support you; this support will enable you to meet your potential and grow your experience.


To support our operation and manage your site fully, We are looking for someone who is flexible, But more importantly you must be able to make operational and strategic decisions at pace and have the self-belief to commit to a plan of action. This is a 5/7 role which could flip between day and night shifts depending on time of year and workloads.

Experience in managing the depot operations and admin teams in running an effective, dynamic, process-driven and results-orientated depot. To provide leadership, support ensuring individuals are engaged, motivated and committed to operate as a high performance. . Ensure all Health & Safety requirements and matters are reported, investigated, and reduced. Responsible for transport related requirements, in line with 'O' Licence regulations. To manage and control working time hours, in line with WTD and AWR. To ensure all financial, service and enquiry reports are completed within the agreed timescales.

Skills & Knowledge:



Previous leadership and people-management experience with a particular emphasis on support, motivation and development. Competent in the understanding of Management information and excel spread sheet. To be able to identify opportunities for efficiency and perforce improvement in depots and deliver and demonstrate performance improvement. Experience in 3rd party logistics, transport, and team leadership. Full Driving Licence. CPC National certificate or equivalent. (Or commit to obtaining through Evri)
