Depot Supervisor
to oversee the day-to-day operations at our
Tonbridge
depot.
In this hands-on role, you'll manage a team of skilled technicians, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality repair, maintenance, and storage of mechanical equipment and components.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of mechanical systems, and a passion for maintaining high standards in safety and performance.
What you'll be doing

nsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the mechanical depot, ensuring that work is
completed efficiently, safely, and according to schedules. Supervise the repair, maintenance, and servicing of mechanical equipment,
machinery, and vehicles. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of mechanical technicians and support
staff. Assigning tasks based on skill level, workload, and priorities. Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Ensure that maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner, reducing
downtime for equipment and machinery. Maintain accurate records of parts usage and stock levels, implementing
inventory control procedures. Conduct inspections of work completed by technicians to verify quality and
adherence to specifications. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to
safety and maintenance practices. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training sessions for the team.
Identify and mitigate potential hazards within the depot environment.
Provide regular reports to senior management on depot performance,
maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and other operational matters. Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for depot
operations.
Who we're looking for
Skills/ Experience required:
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and maintenance practices.
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with inventory management and maintenance tracking systems.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
Qualification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field
Relevant certifications in mechanical maintenance, safety, or management (e.g., OSHA, mechanical technician certifications) are a plus.
