Job Title - Depot Lead



Reporting To - Logistics operations Manager



Role Purpose



Manage the day-to-day operations and compliance of a team of drivers and associated vehicles collecting redundant It Assets from customer sites and returning them to the Braintree depot for processing.


This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to environmental responsibility.


In some instances, participation in site work and collections will be required, these jobs may be out of hrs or long distance, this may necessitate late or early starts or nights away to complete.


You will be self-motivated and can work under pressure individually to achieve daily targets. You will be able to motivate your team to ensure maximum productivity and compliance.


Manages drivers to ensure effective team operation. Conducts training sessions for drivers to update them on policy, procedure and systems. Ensures trunking and waste note paperwork is completed accurately. Works with the logistics operations manager to ensure depot targets are achieved. Works with the scheduling team to ensure maximum efficiency of collection routes. Provides Scheduling team with resource requirements to assist with quotations. Maintains filling system for daily job paperwork. Liaise with fleet hire company to arrange repair, servicing and inspection of vehicles. Passes on escalations from site teams to scheduling and contributes to solutions. Maintains accurate paperwork to meet the FORS and Operator licence requirements. Is flexible in approach to workload and customer requirements contributing to solutions for last minute changes. Is willing to work away from home on occasion. Conduct site surveys where required to assist with quotations. Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the depot and vehicles. Complies and adheres to Company Policies & Procedures (HR, Health & Safety, ISO Certifications, Other Industry Accreditation) Maintain site security and adhere to security policy & procedure. Maintains good housekeeping practices. Complete any other reasonable instruction from management.

Performance Indicators



Achieves individual targets as set by line manager. Adhere to Company policies and client collection requirements. Achieves high levels of accuracy in the maintenance of compliance documentation. Works closely with scheduling to ensure the maximum efficiency and productivity of daily collections. Escalates variations to Scheduling and discusses suitable solutions. Is presentable, well-groomed and wearing correct uniform while at work. Achieves high levels of timekeeping and attendance. Maintains depot in a clean tidy and well stocked state. Participates in and successfully completes any company provided training. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in a Staff management role is preferable. Has a working knowledge of FORS and Operators Licence requirements. Familiarity with handling and transporting IT equipment is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience



Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in a Staff management role is preferable. Has a working knowledge of FORS and Operators Licence requirements. Familiarity with handling and transporting IT equipment is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
