Purpose of the role



To assist the Depot Manager in hands on supervision / overseeing the smooth day-to-day operational function of the depot. To implement and maintain the strictest standards of health and safety, ensuring that the depot team adhere to health and safety best practices.

Key Responsibilities



Deputise in the Depot Managers absence, looking out for the wellbeing of the team, checking-in with colleagues and making sure they are comfortable with the tasks at hand. Ensure the optimum productivity of the depot by identifying if jobs are progressing in line with deadlines, anticipating and removing obstacles and communicating with the Depot team. Assist in managing the depot team through leading briefings and ensuring that the depot team are informed of company-wide messages. Make sure that tools are being used safely and correctly, accounting for all items and making sure that they are fit for use. Monitor stock levels closely and order more stock when necessary, ensuring the best value for money and best quality of product. Check the quality of all work leaving the depot to make sure it aligns with company standards, and work efficiently to rectify mistakes, continuing to meet strict deadlines. Lead customer site visits, ensuring that you promote and highlight the benefits of our products and the Cleveland Group brand. Minimise material wastage through ensuring that we only use the materials necessary to complete the job. Assist in the safe loading and unloading of units, bays, container buildings and materials, ensuring they are stored in the correct place. Always maintain organisation and the highest level of cleanliness in the depot and workshop to ensure a safe working space. Adhere to current health and safety legislation, carrying out weekly/daily health and safety checks, including PPE governance and equipment checks. Carry-out any logistics and health and safety training e.g., forklift, abrasive wheels, fire awareness and paint spraying, completing this to the best of your ability. Raise promptly health and safety concerns as and when they occur through relevant channels. Adopt a customer-focused mindset, reflecting our customer centric 'Cleveland Can' value. Pay: From 32,000.00 per year
