Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated

Deputy

to join our Little Acorns team. As a Deputy at Level 5, you will provide exceptional care, guidance, and support to children in an afterschool setting. You will work closely with the setting leader and other staff members to implement and deliver engaging learning experiences, assist in the management of behaviour, and ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. Your role will also involve collaboration with families and staff to promote children's development and well-being.

Essential Criteria:

Level 5 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ Level 5, CACHE Level 5, or equivalent) or working towards completion of this qualification A minimum of 2-3 years working in a childcare, education, or an afterschool setting.

Desired Criteria:

Experience in working with children with special educational needs or disabilities. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. First Aid training.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of child development, behaviour management strategies, and inclusive practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, staff, and parents. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
