Role Overview



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Compliance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day management of our Social Responsibility (SR) and AML monitoring programmes. This pivotal role is designed for a compliance professional who aspires to grow into a full Compliance Manager position, with leadership responsibility across all compliance disciplines.

Key Responsibilities



- Lead and manage ongoing SR and AML monitoring activities, including customer risk assessments, transaction screening, suspicious activity reporting, and responsible gaming interventions.

- Ensure that policies, procedures, and controls related to AML, SR, and responsible gambling remain robust, up to date, and in line with UKGC and other regulatory frameworks.

- Work closely with senior management to design, implement and refine compliance systems, metrics, and reporting.

- Manage internal investigations and liaise with external agencies and regulators as needed.

- Train and mentor junior compliance staff; promote awareness and understanding of compliance across the company.

- Prepare regular compliance reports, KPIs and dashboards for the senior leadership and board level.

- Stay abreast of regulatory developments in online gaming, AML, and social responsibility; ensure compliance readiness.

The Ideal Candidate



- Minimum 2-4 years' hands-on experience in a compliance or regulatory risk role, especially focused on AML and/or social responsibility in the online gaming, gambling or financial services sectors.

- Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks (UK Gambling Commission, LCCP), and relevant AML legislation (e.g. Money Laundering Regulations).

- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to spot trends, anomalies and risks.

- Solid communication skills; able to explain complex compliance issues clearly to non-experts.

- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams or projects; proactive attitude, strong ownership.

- Must hold relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ICA, ACAMS, CILEX, or equivalent) or willing to obtain them.
