We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team here at The Raven.
We are a busy pub serving everyone from all walks of life, open 7 days a week to the public with an outstanding selection of real ale, craft beers and ever growing menu.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and restaurant management. As the Deputy Manager, you will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires effective leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to company policies.
Supervise kitchen staff and front-of-house teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene in compliance with regulations.
Train new staff on culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service protocols.
Collaborate with the Manager to deliver a smooth day to day running of the establishment.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary and completing any admin based tasks.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management capabilities.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food production.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
