Job Description

As part of the College's ongoing investment in our staff team we are looking to appoint to this position in our rapidly growing Faculty of Construction Trades & Heritage. This area provides a broad curriculum covering a range of courses in a range of trades including brickwork, carpentry/furniture, and stonemasonry.



Interviews for this role will be taking place on 8th July 2025.


##### Your duties

You will:


Lead curriculum planning and development to ensure industry relevance. Monitor teaching standards through observations and training. Deliver up to 7.5 hours of high-quality teaching weekly. Oversee student performance and implement timely interventions. Provide pastoral and tutorial support. Build strong links with employers and professional bodies. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate digital and skills-based learning.

##### Person specification

The successful candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:


Must hold a teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) and have extensive experience in Further Education. A degree or relevant professional qualification in the subject area is essential. Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and support staff development. Experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and strategic planning. Ability to analyse and use data to drive continuous improvement. Demonstrable evidence of improving learner achievement.
