We are looking to recruit an exceptional

Deputy Head of Mathematics

(Lead Practitioner considered) who will be part of a strong Middle Leadership Team as Head of Faculty.


This role will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity for an ambitious practitioner wishing to further develop their career, lead others, build upon the existing track record of success within our Maths Department and make a real impact on further driving up attainment and progress in Maths education


We are looking for a highly motivated, outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong presence, who is ambitious for students, their colleagues and the academy. They will be an excellent teacher of Maths, who has a passionate belief in the ability for all to succeed.


The Academy is recruiting for someone who shares our drive to engage and motivate every child to achieve their potential, who will play an important role in our unique and growing Academy. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher of Mathematics who will also play an important pastoral role in leading the department.

Futures Institute Banbury is a secondary with sixth form in Oxfordshire, teaching students from the ages of 14-18. The school specialises in Space, Aerospace, Science and Maths, and is provisioned to accommodate 300 students, with 75 in each year group. Aspects of the curriculum will be developed and delivered by staff from the UK Space Agency, ESA and the National Space Academy programme. All students in Years 12 and 13 will follow at least three mainstream A level or Level 3 BTEC courses alongside real industry led project work assignments. Students at the Futures Institute will have close links and regular visits with the scientific research organisations and companies.



The school an Inspiration Training Venue which contains fitness equipment, such as exercise machines and weights. There is a discrete outside space for the use of the Futures Institute students only, as well as access to the extensive green sports fields and PE facilities on Aspirations Campus. The Futures Institute is based on the site of Wykham Park Academy Banbury, and share the same principal. The town of Banbury has a population of 47,000, and is 21 miles northwest of Oxford.
