Deputy Head of Supply Chain We are pleased to be inviting applications for a dynamic individual to join our team to lead and help shape the future of the Procurement and Supply Chain Department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and across our wider care community. NUH requires a highly skilled, qualified and experienced individual to focus on improving and transforming our Supply Chain teams with effective leadership, strong interpersonal and communications skills with a calm, professional and supportive approach. The Service NUH is one of the largest hospital organisations in the UK. The Trust is based in Nottingham and provides care to over 2.5million residents in the surrounding communities; through 16,700 staff, 90 wards and 1,700 beds. The Role Bringing with you a high level of business acumen, you will help the Procurement and Supply Chain Department at NUH to ensure a high quality and professional Supply Chain function is delivered at all times. Through this, you will ensure that the Supply Chain teams support Trust Divisions and departments to help meet financial targets, quality improvement activities, cost improvement savings plans and waste reduction. You will be a member of relevant and influential professional body for Procurement / Supply Chain such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply / Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport or similar appropriate professional institute or significant knowledge of supply chain practices and principles. You will have experience in an operational management role in a supply chain environment and be able to lead and influence others with a proven track record in leading successful transformational change programmes in a complex organisation. As an excellent communicator, you will be able to rapidly build credible relationships with our internal and external healthcare partners at all levels to ensure customer and service needs are met to a high standard at all times. You will be able to connect highly complex and multiple programmes of work through aligned planning, prioritising and resourcing to ensure efficiencies are met without compromising quality of service to our patients, staff and healthcare partners. At the heart of all we do is our people and you will take a key role on ensuring a fit for purpose workforce is in place, through effective workforce planning and identifying modern career pathways within Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure we are an employer of choice. I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of a DBS check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
