14.55 per hour

Hours:

37.5 hours per week

About the Role:





We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Home Manager to support the leadership of our specialist residential service in Luton. This 10-bedded home supports working-age males living with a range of complex mental health conditions and co-occurring challenges, including forensic backgrounds and substance or alcohol misuse histories.



As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service, maintain high standards of care, and foster a safe and therapeutic environment that supports recovery, independence, and positive outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


Assist in the management and oversight of the home's daily operations Lead and support a team of care and support staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care Promote a structured and therapeutic environment tailored to individual needs Ensure ongoing compliance with CQC standards and all relevant legislation Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, incident reporting, and safeguarding Liaise effectively with service users, families, multi-disciplinary teams, and external agencies Deputise for the Registered Manager when required

About You:





Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs, ideally in a residential or forensic setting is crucial.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a care environment Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and dual diagnosis Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Level 5 or willingness to work towards it is desirable) Commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and recovery

About Us





You will join a friendly, highly skilled and enthusiastic care team at our care home in Luton, Windermere House. Located in a residential area of Luton in Bedfordshire, Windermere House is part of Nouvita Healthcare and a 10 bed all-male residential home. Here we will support men aged 18 and older with their mental health recovery, aiding them to live as independently as possible within the community and providing a "stepping-stone" to supported living.
