About the Role
The Deputy HR Director will work closely with the HR Director to deliver the Trust's people strategy and lead the
Employee Relations
and
Learning & Development
functions. You'll drive forward initiatives that foster an inclusive, high-performing culture and ensure colleagues are supported to thrive and develop.
This role is both strategic and hands-on - ideal for someone who enjoys leading through change, influencing senior stakeholders, and creating meaningful impact across a complex, multi-site organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted HR partner to senior leaders and executives.
Lead teams managing complex employee relations cases, TUPE processes, and organisational change.
Shape and deliver the Trust's Learning & Development strategy.
Build and maintain effective relationships with trade unions and external partners.
Use workforce data and insights to inform strategic decisions.
Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Extensive HR leadership experience in a large or complex organisation (education or public sector experience advantageous).
Expert knowledge of employee relations, organisational development, and people strategy.
Proven ability to influence, coach, and advise senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A values-driven leader with a commitment to fairness, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
