We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Leader to support the management and delivery of high-quality childcare services. The ideal candidate will assist in supervising children, organising activities, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities
Assist the Lead in supervising children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Support the organisation and implementation of educational programmes and play-based activities tailored to children's developmental needs
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages learning, creativity, and social interaction
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative approach to childcare
Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe pre-school environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Support the management of daily routines such as meal times, learning through play and transitions between activities
Assist with administrative tasks as required, including record keeping and reporting incidents or concerns
Experience
Level 3 Childcare Qualification essential with the willingness to complete Level 5 as soon as practicable.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting is essential
Demonstrated management or leadership experience within childcare or similar environments
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety standards applicable to early years settings
Experience with organising activities that promote developmentally appropriate learning experiences
