We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join a busy finance department, supporting the delivery of a wide range of financial activities.
As the
Deputy Management Accountant
, you will be responsible for assisting with a set list of monthly journals, producing subsidiary monthly management accounts and forecasts, preparing and distributing monthly budget holder reports, liaising with budget holders to ensure accurate and timely forecasting, and undertaking investigatory work when required.
You will also support with monthly payroll checks and reconciliations, assist in the preparation of cash flow statements and forecasts, and contribute to various ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.
Financial stability is a key strategic priority, and this role plays an important part in maintaining strong financial management to support student outcomes through sound financial practices.

Have experience working in a similar role involving management accounts and journal preparation.
Be part-qualified (or working towards) a CCAB or equivalent qualification.
Possess strong financial planning and budgeting skills.
Have a minimum of Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (equivalent to GCSE A-C/4-9).
Demonstrate strong IT skills and the ability to work in an organised, methodical manner.
Operate with a high level of confidentiality, integrity, and flexibility.
Department Information
You will report to the Senior Management Accountant and work closely with the Financial Controller, Finance Manager, budget holders, and members of senior leadership teams across the organisation.
