We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager and EYFS Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall quality of education and early Years delivery within our nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in early childhood education, and a genuine love for working with children. As Deputy Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Manager to implement educational programmes and maintain high standards of care.
Duties
Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Lead and motivate staff, fostering a positive team environment that encourages professional development.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
Manage the nursery's educational programmes, ensuring they are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to the needs of each child.
Oversee the safety and hygiene standards within the nursery, conducting regular checks and risk assessments.
Support staff in delivering high-quality childcare, providing guidance on best practices in early childhood education.
Drive initiatives that promote children's learning through play-based activities and structured learning experiences.
Experience
Proven experience in a childcare setting, ideally within a nursery or early years environment.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams or mentoring staff.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A background in childcare or related qualifications would be advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for working with children and contributing positively to their development.
