Deputy Manager

to join our management team in a dynamic, hybrid role that blends both clinical and office-based responsibilities, you will be expected to work 2 office days and 2 days on the floor (12hour shifts) including weekend working.

You will work within both the Elderly Care and our newly opened Young Adult unit within the home. Which includes residents who are living with Dementia, Physical Frailty, Learning Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries, Parkinson's, Stroke, ADHD, Autism and Mental Health illness.

Role Overview:


As Deputy Manager, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day running of the care home. Balancing a clinical and administrative focus, you'll support the Managers in overseeing the care team, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, as well as managing various office-based duties that ensure smooth operations. You'll lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership, a passion for person-centred care, and a hands-on approach to both resident care and operational management.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist the Home Manager in managing the overall operation of the care home, including clinical care and office-based management. Support the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice. Take responsibility for supervising and guiding clinical staff, including nurses, healthcare assistants, and other care team members. Monitor and review clinical records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Ensure the delivery of high-quality care while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for both staff and residents. Oversee office-based administrative duties, such as managing care documentation, audits, staff schedules, and other management reports. Foster a positive working relationship between the clinical team and administrative staff, ensuring effective communication across all departments. Contribute to the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring the care team is motivated and well-equipped to meet the needs of residents. Ensure compliance with all health and safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience:



Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC pin, or equivalent qualification is essential to the role. Previous experience in a management or supervisory role in a care home or clinical setting. Knowledge of care home regulations, clinical guidelines, and best practices. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage both clinical and office-based responsibilities effectively. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support your team. Experience in managing audits, compliance, and reporting. Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and improving the lives of residents.
