Westin Care Home in Whitchurch is looking for a Deputy Manager who is an experienced leader to support the Home Manager in our home that provides residential, Nursing, respite and dementia care to our residents.
Providing person-centred care, delivering excellent quality outcomes and supporting our residents and our teams is very important to us and we are looking for someone to join our team, who can really shine and make a difference to the lives of others by demonstrating , warmth and leadership.
You will monitor the wellbeing of each resident, ensuring all staff are supported and always promoting independence and well-being by ensuring that residents' personal, psychological, and social care needs are met.
Your team will be extremely important too, looking to provide inspirational leadership and daily management. You will undertake staff supervisions and support of team members' development, always looking to demonstrate our values of being Proud, Supportive and Caring.
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the home. You will be over seeing care plans and have involvement with recruitment and the induction of new staff.
You will be responsible for maintaining the home to a high standard level required by CQC.
Skills/Experience Required:
NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care Level 3 or more is essential
Minimum of 2 years' experience being a Senior Carer/Supervisor or Deputy Manager and being within a residential home setting with clients who are elderly and may suffer with dementia and/or challenging behaviour is essential
You will need to have experience of creating weekly Rota's
You must be able to complete a compliance audit
You will be completing staff supervisions
Full driving license and having a vehicle for work purposes is desirable
A kind, compassionate, caring nature is essential and someone who is passionate about helping and working with people
Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language
Is able to work on their own initiative, but also in a team environment

Competitive salary - 16.83 per hour
. Permanent contract
Full Time - 40 hours per week.
Full comprehensive mandatory and service specific training.
