We're recruiting a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our children's residential home in Bromyard, part of Branas Isaf within the CareTech Group -- one of the UK's leading providers of specialist residential care and education for children and young people.

About the Deputy Manager Role



As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in running our children's residential service, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, care, and therapeutic support. You'll help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.



Key Responsibilities



Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations

Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing care team

Ensure robust safeguarding, care planning, and accurate record-keeping

Promote a nurturing, emotionally secure home environment

Advocate for the individual needs and rights of every child

Collaborate closely with education, therapy, and clinical teams



What You'll Need



Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential care setting (essential)

QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (essential)

Level 5 Leadership & Management (preferred or willingness to complete)

Full UK Manual Driving Licence & own transport (essential due to rural location)

Ability to work a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins

Strong understanding of safeguarding, emotional resilience, and team leadership
