We are seeking an experienced and dedicated
Registered Nurse (RGN)
to step into the pivotal role of
Deputy Manager
at our well-regarded nursing home in Newport. This is a superb opportunity for a senior

As a
Clinical Deputy Manager
, you will provide essential support to the
Home Manager
, taking clinical leadership of the home and ensuring the delivery of exceptional
elderly care
. With a primarily
supernumerary
status, you will have the time and focus to lead, mentor, and drive quality. If you are a confident

Key Responsibilities
Provide strong
clinical
leadership and supervision to the team of nurses and care staff, acting as a
Clinical Lead
.
Work in close partnership with the
Home Manager
to oversee the daily operations and clinical governance of the home.
Conduct and oversee
medication rounds
, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and best practice.
Mentor, train, and support a team of
Staff Nurses
and care staff, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting professional development.
Utilise your supernumerary time to conduct audits, develop care plans, and lead
quality improvement
initiatives.
Deputise for the
Home Manager
in their absence, taking full responsibility for the home's clinical and operational management.
Ensure the home operates in full compliance with CQC standards and all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Valid NMC PIN
as a
Registered Nurse (RGN)
.
A minimum of
3 years of experience
as an
RGN
within a UK
nursing home
environment.
Proven experience in a senior clinical capacity, such as a Senior
Staff Nurse
,
Clinical Lead
, or
Deputy Manager
.
Extensive and proven experience in managing
medication rounds
and complex clinical procedures autonomously.
A strong leader with the ability to motivate a team, work independently, and demonstrate excellent clinical judgement.
A passion for
elderly care
and a commitment to providing the highest standards of clinical practice.
