Role Overview



The Deputy Manager will play a key role in leading and coordinating care and support within our cafes and pottery social enterprises. Working as part of the Community Activities Care and Support Framework, you will ensure person-centred planning and quality support for individuals funded by Adult Social Care, Health, and Education services. You will oversee placement arrangements, including monitoring outcomes for the people we support, quality audits, and liaising with external stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery. This role will focus heavily on the care and support needs of the people we support and will require the individual to foster a positive working relationship with the Commercial Manager - Catering and Support Workers.

Key Responsibilities



Lead on initial assessments for individuals joining the service. Arrange and manage placements funded by Adult Social Care, Education, and Health. Ensure all individuals have up-to-date and person-centred support plans, reviewing and amending them as needed. Complete Person-Centred Reviews and Assessments (PCRA) for individuals and contribute to staff PCRA where appropriate. Maintain accurate registers for all funders (Health, Education, ASC). Contribute towards regular staff supervisions and appraisals in line with support worker standards. Contribute to probationary period reviews and reports. Contribute to team meetings with input on care and support delivery. Promote the organisation's Vision, Mission, and Values consistently. Undertake quality audits aligned with care and support standards. Attend and contribute to all review meetings for supported individuals, reporting on progress, outcomes, and future goals. Communicate with families and carers regarding changes in needs and annual reviews. Maintain and update the contract management spreadsheet. Liaise with Finance regarding contracting and funding arrangements. Develop and maintain relationships with Adult Social Care, Education, and Health stakeholders. Work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure staffing levels match support needs as well as ensuring safe adequate coverage. Oversee month-end processes and reporting. Monitor and support team training and development for care and support delivery. Manage all care and support related training for staff such as, Buccal, Epilepsy, Positive Behaviour Support, Medication training, Care Certificate. Person Specification



Essential:

Experience in care and support services, ideally within community or social enterprise settings . Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Knowledge of care planning, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders. Organisational and administrative ability, including report writing and data management.
Desirable:

Qualification in Health & Social Care or related field (e.g., Level 3-5 Diploma). Experience managing placements funded by ASC, Education or Health. Familiarity with person-centred approaches and PCRA processes.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 27,000.00-31,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 - 39 per week
