Deputy Manager

to join our team.

Role Overview:


As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the home operates effectively, providing high-quality care for the children and young people in our care. You will play an integral role in leadership and management, supporting staff, overseeing care plans, and maintaining the highest standards of care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in residential care who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. Provide leadership and guidance to the team of care staff, ensuring they are well-supported and motivated. Oversee and implement individual care plans for children and young people. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. Develop and deliver training and development programs for the team. Support with recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of staff. Maintain effective communication with families, social workers, and other professionals. Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful culture within the home.

About You:



Experience working in a residential children's setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and best practices in residential care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for working with children and young people. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent (Level 5 is preferred). Ability to work flexibly and on-call as required.
