About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Deputy Manager
to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our children's residential home based in the
B47
area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to play a vital role in delivering high standards of care and support for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a
hybrid role
, offering a balance between traditional office hours and working directly with the team and young people on shift, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleeps.
Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in delivering outstanding care and meeting all regulatory requirements
Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of residential support workers
Assist with rota management, training, and staff development
Ensure individualised care plans are developed and implemented
Actively contribute to inspections and audits
Take part in the on-call rota and cover shifts when required
Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Level 5 or working towards it is desirable
Proven experience in a senior or team leader role within a children's residential setting
Sound knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence
