Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Deputy Manager to join our team. This is a Monday to Friday role, with some weekend availability, offering the chance to help lead the development of our new home. You will work closely with an experienced Registered Manager and play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the service, supporting both staff and the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to care staff to ensure high standards of support
Assist in the daily management and smooth operation of the home
Support and implement care plans tailored to individual children's needs
Deliver high-quality care for children with EBD, SEMH, Mental Health needs, and Learning Disabilities
Foster a nurturing, safe, and structured environment
Organise and oversee educational and recreational activities
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Essential
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential care setting - Essential
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable young people
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Full UK Driving Licence - Preferred
