Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Deputy Manager
to support the launch and daily running of a new 2-bedded children's residential home. This is a
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
position, with some flexibility for occasional weekend availability. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, gaining hands-on experience in leadership and care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of the home.
Provide strong leadership and guidance to staff to ensure high-quality care.
Work directly with children presenting with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), SEMH, mental health challenges, and learning disabilities.
Develop, implement, and monitor individual care plans.
Promote a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and safeguarding policies.
Organise educational and recreational activities tailored to each child's needs.
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (required).
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a residential children's care setting (required).
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Compassionate, resilient, and motivated to make a difference.
Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
