We are seeking a passionate and dedicated

Deputy Manager

to join our team at Orchard House. As a specialised therapeutic residential provider, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for vulnerable children and young people. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of the children in our care, working alongside the Home Manager to deliver high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and therapeutic care. Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers, offering guidance, training, and supervision to ensure the highest standards of care. Ensure the care plans for each child are followed and updated as required, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for the young people. Manage staff rotas, administrative duties, and support audits and quality checks. Provide support to children and young people, building positive and trusting relationships and helping to create an environment that encourages growth and development. Step into the role of the Home Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the home's operation when needed.

Qualifications & Experience:



Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), with a strong desire to complete further training. Previous experience in a leadership or senior role within a children's residential home. Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example. A proactive, problem-solving approach, with a strong commitment to the children in our care.
