The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Deputy Manager
to join our team. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead and support a team of residential care staff, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
Ensure high-quality care is delivered in line with the home's ethos and values
Lead, mentor and develop a team of residential support workers
Contribute to care planning and behaviour management strategies
Oversee and monitor safeguarding, compliance and staff performance
Participate in the on-call rota and cover shifts when required
Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
Working towards or willingness to undertake Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a residential children's setting
Experience in a senior or supervisory role
Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required
