About Us
We are a well-established children's residential care provider dedicated to offering a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Based in Leicester (LE3), our home supports children aged 8-17, helping them grow, heal, and reach their full potential.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our children's home. This is a vital leadership role where you will help create a safe, supportive, and caring environment that promotes positive outcomes for the children in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Registered Manager in the daily management of the home
Support, mentor, and lead the staff team to deliver high-quality care
Promote the emotional, physical, and social development of young people
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations 2015
Participate in care planning, risk assessments, and placement reviews
Lead shifts and be part of the on-call rota
Contribute to staff training and performance development
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
Working towards or willing to undertake Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a children's residential setting
Supervisory or senior role experience preferred
A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence - desirable
