We are currently seeking a Deputy Children's Home Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care, assisted living, and home care, with a focus on managing and supervising children's services.

About The Role


As a Deputy Manager at Branch Out Residential Services, your skills and expertise will have the opportunity to make a positive, transformative impact on young people. You will lead and support a professional team of staff committed to transforming the lives of our residents to create positive outcomes.

We aim to improve young people's self-esteem so they believe in themselves and feel confident enough to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

Responsibilities



As the Deputy Manager you will be supporting the Registered Manager. It will be imperative that the home that you are working for meets the 'Children's Homes Regulations' and 'Ofsted Quality Standards' and that as the manager you ensure a high level of compliance against these standards. You will help lead the whole staff team in ensuring a service that delivers exceptional care and support and delivers positive outcomes for the children/young people. You will be required to carry out a range of duties consistent within the role that you may be requested to undertake by your line manager You will provide both written and verbal reports to your manager and be accountable for performance and against plans and targets Ensure that regular reports are provided to all stake holders as required Keep up to date with all relevant changes in policy, practice and legislation and ensure that all staff have access to this information Ensure that all the work undertaken by yourself and staff under your management is conducted to the highest professional standards. Promote and implement Branch Out Residential Services 'Code of Conduct' and lead by example

Requirements



Minimum of 2 years Management experience as a Deputy Manager in Children's Residential setting or equivalent Excellent leadership and staff management abilities Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent GCSE Maths and English - Grade C and or above Robust knowledge of regulatory and legislative framework Good knowledge of Ofsted benchmarking and SCCIF Full Driving License and access to a car is essential A passion for achieving the best possible outcomes for children/young people Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills The ability to deliver at least 'Good' in the home's Ofsted inspections Sound business awareness and a flair for promoting the service Flexibility, drive and resilience

Desirable



Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

Recruitment Process



At Branch Out Residential Services, we are wholeheartedly committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

The recruitment process aims to create and maintain a safe workforce and contains robust vetting procedures.

Applicants will ideally already be on the DBS Update Service, if this is not the case Branch Out Residential Services will carry out a DBS (police check) prior to starting and if appointed, 6 monthly checks.

The successful candidate will only be appointed subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
