The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated
Deputy Manager
to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the management and leadership of the residential care team
Support the delivery of individual care plans and therapeutic approaches
Ensure a safe, caring, and supportive environment for all children
Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff members
Participate in on-call duties as part of a rota
Contribute to inspections, audits, and quality assurance processes
Promote the physical and emotional well-being of each young person
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards) - desirable
At least 2 years' experience working in a children's residential setting
Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted regulations
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Ability to lead by example and promote a positive team culture
Full UK driving licence - essential
