Deputy Manager - Therapeutic Children's Home



Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

COMPETITIVE SALARY DEPENDANT ON LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE IN THE RESIDENTIAL SECTOR
Relocation package available to be discussed
Full-time

- Sleep in allowance 60.00.

- On Call Allowance 111.58

- Time and a half-paid on 8 specified Bank Holidays throughout the year.

- 28 days annual leave.

- Company Pension scheme.

- Accredited CALM Theory and CALM Physical training.

- Overtime for additional shifts

The team and young people are well-established and have been part of the home for a considerable time. The home has been rated 'Good' overall, with 'Outstanding' in Leadership and Management, so you'll be joining a well-run, stable, and successful environment.

Our long-term vision is to support all our young people in developing independence, confidence, and the essential life skills they need to thrive.

We currently have 3 teenage boys in placement

16 year old who is currently awaiting for confirmation of starting a mechanics course

17 year old who is currently enrolled on a bespoke life skills course at College

12 year old who has just transitioned into High School

We're looking for a

Deputy Manager

to join our therapeutic children's home: a place where healing happens through safety, structure, and love. You'll support a team who are passionate about holding space for children who have experienced significant trauma--and you'll help shape a home that's rooted in trust, nurture, and therapeutic care.

What You'll Do



Be a consistent and emotionally available adult for children who need to feel safe and seen. Support the Registered Manager in leading and inspiring a trauma-informed care team. Role model therapeutic parenting in daily practice. Hold reflective supervision sessions that support emotional regulation and growth. Contribute to care planning, safeguarding, and multi-agency work with warmth and professionalism. Step into leadership during times of crisis or absence with confidence and compassion.

What You'll Bring



Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Experience in a residential or therapeutic setting with children facing complex trauma Emotional resilience, reflective leadership, and excellent communication skills A commitment to attachment-aware and trauma-informed practice Desire to work towards Level 5 in Leadership & Management (if not already held)
