Location: Shrewsbury



29,600-30,800 + additional 3250 - 6500 per year for sleep in's



08:00- 22:00 39hrs per week



Full UK Driving Licence is required

We are looking for a Deputy Manager at our Ofsted rated GOOD Children's home

to become part of an amazing team, supporting young people to reach their full potential and have positive outcomes, giving them hope for the future.




At our Children's homes in the Shrewsbury area, we support young people aged between 8 - 18 who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. As Deputy Manager, you'll be at the heart of it all--leading by example, mentoring your team, and ensuring every child in our care gets the support and structure they need to reach their full potential.

What you'll do:



As Deputy Manager

, you'll support the Home Manager in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care for children and young people. You'll be a key leader, role model, and mentor, helping staff grow and ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and empowered.

Support the Home Manager with day-to-day operations. Lead, inspire, and develop your team to deliver therapeutic, high-quality care. Be a positive role model for staff and children alike. Manage rotas, budgets, and ensure we meet Ofsted standards. Create a home environment where young people feel safe, supported, and valued.

What do you need?



A minimum of 2

years' experience

working within a Residential Children's home.

Minimum NVQ Level 3 or above in Children and Young people

Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures. Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic. A

strong people manager

with a hands on approach. Experience of budgets and rotas. Full driving licence is essential. You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
