The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Deputy Manager
to help lead our passionate team and support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. This is a key role within the home, providing leadership, promoting high standards of care, and ensuring positive outcomes for the young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of home management
Lead, mentor, and supervise the care team
Ensure compliance with
Ofsted regulations
, safeguarding, and children's home standards
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and daily documentation
Promote a child-centred, trauma-informed approach to care
Handle shift coordination, staff rotas, and participate in the on-call rota
Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people
Support staff development and contribute to a positive team culture
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma
in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) -
Essential
Working towards or willingness to complete
Level 5 in Leadership & Management

Required
Minimum
2 years' experience
in a children's residential setting
Experience in a senior or supervisory role within EBD care -
Essential
Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and regulatory frameworks
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
A calm, resilient, and child-focused approach
Full UK Driving Licence
