Banana Moon Day Nurseries is looking for a passionate and motivated Deputy Manager to become a vital part of our team in Croydon. In this leadership role, you will assist the Nursery Manager in driving excellence in childcare and education within a safe and welcoming environment for young children.


Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the daily operations of the nursery, leading our dedicated team, and ensuring that our educational programs meet the highest standards. You will play a key role in fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in all aspects of nursery management. Help implement and maintain a curriculum that promotes children's learning and development. Oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. Guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative team spirit. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and families. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Act as the lead practitioner in the absence of the manager.

Requirements

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent. Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within an early years setting. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. DBS check and first aid training are an advantage.
