Job Summary

Sticky Fingers Nursery are looking for Level 3 or above Early Years Educator to work as a Deputy Manager. One position is all year round. We require someone that has a real passion to work with children, is hard working, reliable, friendly, flexible and enthusiastic. A current paediatric first aid certificate and safeguarding training is desirable but not essential as full training will be booked where needed.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 years experience of working with children in a room leader or deputy manager position in a nursery or pre school and a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years. As this is a deputy manager's position we require someone who has excellent organisational skills and a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Applicants must have good computing skills; the ability to work as part of and manage a team and excellent communication skills to share information with other Early Years Educators, parents and outside agencies.

The role will be to provide high quality care and education to our pre school children (3-4 years old) or in our nursery working with 2-3 year olds. Duties include supporting the Manager to ensuring the smooth running of the setting, supervising team members on a daily basis, being a key person to a group of children - using IConnect (training will be given it needed); supporting children with their learning and development; planning and participating in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities; liaising with parents, ensuring our policies and procedures are followed and role modelling practice to other members of the team and the children across the setting.

Hours will be: flexible as on a shift pattern
