We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care for the children attending our Breakfast and After School Club. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with children. This role requires effective leadership and management skills to support the daily operations of the club, ensuring that the children receive the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the breakfast and after school club.
Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive working environment and promoting teamwork.
Follow and implement Safeguarding procedures and policies on a daily basis.
Provide leadership in medication administration and ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to.
Developing and maintaining excellent communication skills with club staff, parents and school staff.
Ability to work using own initiative, judgement and common sense
Maintain accurate records related to resident care and staff performance, reporting any issues to the Manager promptly.
Participate in training programmes for staff development, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills for their roles.
Qualifications
Proven experience in working with children is essential.
Background in play work desirable.
Strong management skills with previous supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent leadership abilities, capable of motivating a diverse team to deliver outstanding care.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols within a care setting.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with children, families, and staff members.
